One of our three traditional inns in the East of England, the Ramblewood in Orton Longueville takes great pride in offering real ales and real food in a real pub environment.

Working alongside the neighbouring four star BEST WESTERN PLUS Orton Hall Hotel & Spa means that we offer something completely different to our customers.  Whether it is a cosy meal for two or a lively family celebration; a place to meet or a more formal gathering in the Hayloft, you are sure to find the perfect spot at the Ramblewood Inn.

The Hall and Stables, built in the 17th century, formed part of the Estate of the Marquesses of Huntly, more latterly home of the notorious George Gordon, a name synonymous with Gordon’s Gin brand. Rumour has it that the Hall was lost and won several times over during late night card games.

The Hall was requisitioned as a prisoner of war camp and later purchased by the City Council as a special educational establishment. Locals happily recall many tales and the buildings hide some fascinating artworks and relics, including an arch – reputedly from Fotheringay Castle, place of Mary Queen of Scot’s execution.
